Notice to register details to the Cyprus Republic UBOs final Registry and imposition of penalties
Following the previous announcements of the Cyprus registrar with respect to the filing of the details of the Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) of the Cyprus companies, the Cyprus registrar has launched the new and final platform for the submission of the details of the UBOs.
In continuation of the meeting of the Social Insurance Fund on the 27th of October, it is announced that the increase in the “widow’s pension contribution”, which stands at 0.1% and was incorporated into the 0.6% rate, does not need to be taken into account.
The EU Council revised its list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes on 17 October 2023 and as result, the British Virgin Islands (BVI) has been removed from its list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes as it has amended its framework on exchange of information on request and other 4 countries have been included namely Belize, Seychelles, Antigua and Barbuda.
